Feedback often mentions the food’s flavorful, albeit slightly sweeter, taste profile. Friendly service and a welcoming environment further contribute to a positive dining experience overall.
The amount of food is very decent from its price. But their food is more on the sweeter side even though it is a viand.
Chrisostomo BGC is a must-visit for authentic Filipino cuisine! The restaurant perfect for Filipino food, with dishes that are both delicious and true to their roots. The atmosphere is fantastic – lively and bustling, with happy chatter filling the air. It's an ideal spot for family and friends gatherings, though might be a bit too noisy for business meetings. The food is authentic and tasty, with standout dishes like the crispy pata. Highly recommend for a genuine Filipino culinary experience.
First time visiting PH from the states and wanted to try out this place based on the many recommendations we received from locals. Our accommodations were literally steps away from this restaurant, unfortunately we did not have enough time to sample their dinner menu but wife and I decided to get some merienda before our flight back home. We arrived shortly after they open and was quickly seated, the decor is sophisticated but had a very laid back charm. We order the Bolas de fuego (fish balls) Halo-halo ni Crisostomo, Campeon Turon with coco jam and iced coffee. All dishes were plated exceptional and more importantly delicious!! Wife fav was the halo halo, mine was the Turon quite possibly the best I had anywhere. The Turon was packed full with the delectable filling, the skin was not oily but crispy and the icing was the coco jam. The coco jam was the perfect pairing for the Turon and was not overly sweet. Overall we are pleased with the food and service Crisostomo provided. We look forward to the other dishes when we visit the PH down the road.
Crisostomo offers a variety of Filipino food, and it hits the spot if you're craving soul food. We tried to order away from their house specials, and it did not disappoint. We ordered their classic pork sisig, which is a classic Filipino food staple. Their adobo rice is good on its own without any viand. Lumpiang hubad is a great appetizer. We also had sinigang with watermelon, which is a twist to the classic sour tamarind soup (the meat was too tough). Beef morcon steals the show with its own homemade sauce. We will try to go back to try their desserts as we couldn’t because of how full we were.
We really enjoyed the food, very tasty! The staff was friendly. Nice experience.
Outstanding meal here!! If you're looking for an authentic Filipino culinary experience, then this restaurant is what you're looking for. This restaurant truly captures the essence of Filipino cuisine. The portions are good for sharing (3-4people depending on your appetite) It would be wonderful if the restaurant will also offer single-serving options. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, adding to the overall dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone craving a taste of the Philippines!
Delicious, reasonably priced dishes and good service. My personal favorite was the tinapa fried rice. I'm not a big fan of filipino food so though I tried the stuffed squid laing and sinuglaw, I would say they're good but I wouldn't have them again. My companion was craving for halo-halo and was told that they have one of the best here in the metro. Did it meet the hype? Not as much as she would have liked. It's the classic style of halo-halo with a slightly modern twist (ie banana chips instead of minatamis na sagin). Ube ice cream on top would've been nice.
